I'll start by saying I don't know very much about proxies or ports at all.

Okay, I recently moved into University accomodation, with it's own, limited, internet connection. In order to browse the internet you need to use it's own proxy. What I was wondering was, is it possible to use this proxy in some way to force connection to ArenaNet through the proxy? Or is it possible for The university internet service to be blocking the ports that Guild Wars requires access to by default, and is there a way to unblock this? Is my only option to contact the service provider and ask them to allow me access to Guild Wars? And if so, what exactly should I ask them for?

Cannot:
Ventrilo
IRC
Guild Wars
Microsoft's zone.com gaming network

Any help with Ventrilo would also be appreciated.
